Biocera Medical Ltd was founded in 2020 in Cambridge, UK by an international team of medical and material scientists and seasoned entrepreneurs specialised in the fields of implants, surface treatments and bringing innovative medical products to the market.
New generation surfacing technology
Innovative Electro Chemical Oxidation (ECO) technology is an ecologically friendly process that enables to build bioceramic surfaces on Magnesium, Titanium and Zirconium alloys by combining surface oxidation with elementary co-deposition of desirable elements from electrolyte.
Unique Bioceramic coating
Developed nanoceramic coatings provide highly thought combination of functional properties for medical implants, including enhanced osseointegration, resorption rate control for Magnesium alloys, undesirable metal leaching prevention for Titanium alloys, aesthetically pleasing white colour, antibacterial properties.
Protected IP
Biocera Technology has been protected by patent application PCT WO 2020049299 "Implant with ceramic coating and method of applying a ceramic coating". Patent covers novel implants design where metal core is covered by unique bio-ceramic coating and novel coating material compositions with signature elements, novel electrochemical process of building bio-ceramic coating on metal implants. New patents are in the pipeline.
